Course description
This is the ideal course for you if you are completely new to sewing or looking to refresh your knowledge. The course will guide you through how the sewing machine works, the settings and how to thread your machine before we move on to the most exciting part…creating! We will begin with the basic stitches and how to get the best results for you, at your pace. From understanding measurements and converting units to calculating fabric requirements and pattern adjustments, this course will equip you with the numerical confidence needed to tackle various sewing challenges. Our experienced tutor will guide you through hands-on exercises, providing practical tips to ensure you grasp the numerical intricacies of sewing with ease. This will open your sewing world up to so many possibilities. From repairing clothes to recycling and repurposing fabric. During the course we will aim to make a simple tote bag for you to store all of your basic sewing equipment.
