Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.
Course overview
Course description
This One week course of two sessions, is aimed at beginners and will introduce you to some basic drawing methods whilst focusing on one specific subject matter.
Sessions will give you the opportunity to try out different
ways to make pencil marks; use tone and shading; create simple line drawings; as well as how to use proportion, perspective and composition.
Vocal discussions and tutor feedback will enable you to take
part in sharing ideas and constructive comments about your
artworks and as well as that of other students on the course. Teaching will include the use of a variety of creative prompts, demonstrations, downloadable handouts and other relevant online resources on Canvas and the Internet. A discussion group on Canvas will also be made available for you to upload images of your artworks to receive written encouragement and constructive feedback from the tutor and other students at the end of the course.
