Are you starting your journey with Functional Skills English at WEA Bristol? Then this course could be right for you. This course is for learners preparing to enrol on an accredited Functional Skills Writing Level 1 course.
Course description
If you are planning to join one of our Functional Skills English Level 1 Writing courses, this course will help prepare you for the next exam course. On this course, you will practise and develop the skills you need for working at level 1. Then, you could move on to the accredited level 1 course. By the end of this course, you will be better able to 1) recognise different text types. 2) identify different text features 3) describe text purposes. 4) Evaluate whether texts are successful in meeting their intended text type/purpose. 5) Create a range of texts at the level required for Level 1 Functional Skills English.
