Supporting Childrens Numeracy S1 and S2 (Aberdeenshire)

For parents and carers of children in S1 and S2.  

This course is aimed at giving you a better understanding of the maths curriculum and how you can support your child's learning.

This session will provide: improved confidence in using your own mathematical skills; an insight into what your child needs to know and where to find resources to support their learning;  and practical ways to support your child’s mathematical understanding.

Whether you’re a parent, carer, grandparent, teaching assistant or volunteer you can gain an understanding of how numeracy is taught in schools today and learn some techniques to help, we will also point you in the direction of lots of helpful resources.

Workshops are 2 sessions over 2 weeks. Various dates in December/January/February.

All learners who live, work or volunteer in Abeerdeenshire, are aged over 19 years old, and do NOT have a qualification in maths at Nat 5 or equivalent are eligible for this course. Apply below to join our waiting list.
